Mel’s Barbershop is bringing back “Customer Service Excellence”! We specialize in the newest hip styles as well as the classic gentlemen’s cut. If you really want a treat, we offer the traditional hot lather shave and hot towel treatment. We use a straight razor to get those lines crisp and clean and the shaves close.
We cater to all ages, so dads and sons come on in and join us for an old-fashioned Barbershop experience and enjoy a great cup of coffee from our coffee bar. See you soon!
We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation, if you fail to do so within that time it will be the price of the service you booked.
Operating hours: 9 to 6 Tuesday-Friday, 9 to 4 on Saturday, Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Meet Master Barber Joey, he’s joining our amazing team!
Joey Maldonado was born in Stamford, Connecticut and raised in Puerto Rico. He moved to Sarasota at the age of 5 and has been living here for the past 29 years. He started his barbering career 18 years ago, and he specializes in all hair types. For 12 years, Joey owned and operated his own barbershop right here in Sarasota. Joey and his beautiful wife are blessed with 4 boys. He will be taking walk-ins and appointments.

Juggling life with four awesome kids, I stumbled into the world of barbering two years ago, and it's been pure bliss ever since.
Regret? Only that I didn't start sooner. As I chase the dream of becoming the best, my heart is set on sharing the art of barbering, paving the way for others to find their passion in every clip and snip.
